I've been going through the toys lately and I'm not gonna lie it is a little hard to see my boys grow up.Taylor has grown out of the Diego and Cauillou stage. He is now entering the Spiderman, star wars and Batman stage. He has a claw around that he loves to wear adn he loves little legos.

He is my lego man. Anyway, it is fun.He is liking preschool.He goes one day a week and has learned a lot. He also likes his tap and ballet class- that I teach and also TOPHats- with singing.They have a show next weekend

Landon is moving to the karate, football and basketball stage.He was into roller hockey but ha changed a little but.He has a sparkle in his eye when it comes to school and I can tell he really enjoys it

.He had a bday party a few weeks ago and we went to Bounce. It was fun to see him grow up and turn 9. I guess I shed a little tear because he is growing up.Some days seem more precious than others and that was one of those days.

We gave Landon a quad so he has everything. His Bible Book of Mormon and everything. He is so excited. I was thinking the other day how my role as a parent is to enjoy him and Taylor.They are children of God and I ahve them for a few years to hopefully teach and enjoy.Sounds a little corny but after I thought that it put a lot of things in perspective for me.
Things are always changing and sometimes we have to soak up the moment or it will pass us by.

2011! yeah it is here.I have a new motto for this year and it is to simplify my life, so far not so good but we'll see. We have started the year with some new things. Landon has started karate and Taylor is still doing preschool and his dancing. The weather has been so nice and we have been trying to get outside.Phil and I are both trying to drop a little weight and sometimes we miss that 20 year old metabolism LOL. We have had some gracious family but hope to get our own place this summer. Probably close by we want to keep the boys at the schools they are in.

Taylor turned 4 a couple of weeks ago and we are pulling out clothes hat I remember Landon Wearing not so long ago. Taylor says the funniest things. He has a stuffed Bear 9which is really a dog) and a blue dog named BLUE. He plays with them and they go everywhere with us.it is so funny. Landon loves football right now and rollerblading. We went down to Colorado Springs yesterday to meet my friend Laura and had a blast going to Skate City. We have been rollerskating 3 times in the last few months. It is kind of fun

Taylor also loves SHOES. That is what he wanted for his birthday. Some Justin Bieber shoes. They both love to watch Justin Bieber. It's pretty funny.

Anyway, this fall has been filled with school, preschool, soccer and Academy classes. My new motto is to slow down so hopefully I can do that a little bit this next year.

I know that time is passing so I guess I want to take advantage of it now. In 8 years Landon will be 16-and that seems like a long ways away but really it will go fast. I love the ages they are. 8 is the super silly jokes and tease my brother age. 4 is the sweet but older toddler who cans till throw fits and doesn't want to potty train totally yet,,, (I had such a bad experience with Landon so Taylor will have to beg me to take that thing off) LOL

We are still saving money and planning to move when the opportunity presents itself. Probably close by.I like Fort Collins. It is a hard place to leave. I get a little anxious thinking about it.I get attached easily.But most of Northern Colorado is nice.Phil has been working a lot, so I hope he can take a couple days off around Christmas. Anyway, I gotta go. Babes are asleep. Time to clean!

Taylor had a Superhero party a few weeks ago. We had his Preschool class and a few church and neighborhood friends come over. Batman, Spidermans-about 5, Ironmans, and Robin all helped the Superhero League stay strong. It was pretty cute.We had them running and jumping and sliding. Taylor has a blast. They were tired afterward and we spent all day getting ready but it was worth it!!!! Happy bday shnookys

We have had busy week. Landon started Soccer practice and A hip hop class. both Taylor and Landon love listening to Justin Beiber- THE SINGER- LOL. So they want to dance like him. whatever they want. I'm teaching a combo ballet/tap class on Wednesdays this fall. Taylor is in my class and he is so Cute.Of course he is the only boys but soon he will be older and move on to other things. Karen, the owner of the Academy is sortive stepping down and I have to say I was a little sad but happy that the show must go on.

Phil has been busy at work. a huge blessing. He sold a car and we went with him to deliver it to Steamboat last weekend. We took it like an overnight and stayed in a super sweet condo. I think it was bigger than some homes we have lived in. Anyway the boys had a ball. Steamboat is nice. Next time we will sty a little bit longer. It was nice to see all the leaves and everything.

We are also going to Canada in October for Thanksgiving. We can;t wait. It has been over a year since we went home to the farm. Been missing it

This Summer has flown by.The Cousins have come up a little bit. Skylar is growing and loves dirt. Celine is in 2nd grade and she is growing up. Landon loves to play with her. Hayden and Taylor are best friends. It's always fun when they come to play.
The 4th of July we went to the Greeley Parade. Finally a parade that was good. The Long horn cattle were a sight to see. There were probably 50 or so. Taylor got lost for a minute and that was a scare, but overall it turned out to be a great day. Happy 4th.

Summer is almost gone. It has flown by. I think we are partied out and ready to go back to school. We have spent our days swimming and enjoying the outside. Landon played baseball again and Taylor has learned how to swim and he loves the water.

Fort Collins has so many water parks around and places to go swimming. It has been a great few months. I have only been working a little bit so I've been able to be with the boys a lot. We got to go to Utah, Wolf Creek for a couple of days with our friends- The Wileys from Vegas. The kids got to be on a boat and they had a ball. We went to Lagoon for a day and relaxed. I took them to Manassa for the 24th of July. It was great to see some aunts, uncles and Great Grandma Brady. The kids liked the small town parade, hamburger stand and playing with cousins. Phil had to work but I was glad to go.We also got to go camping up the Poudre and Heath and art came with us this year. Christian and Erika were there also and it turned out to be a fun evening. We hope to go to Cardston in the fall. The boys have been asking to go to the farm. Phil is waiting to have surgery on his knee. He has needed a scope for a long time. Hopefully he can get recovered and get working out like he wants to.

Taylor has been playing car dealership with Landon and loves to do everything big brother does. It is so nice they have each other. I remember always wanting an older brother and so they have that.

We live right outside an oval greenbelt and the boys love playing there. I think we are going to move this fall and the boys will miss it hear but things are looking up and I think we can make it on our own now that we are a little more stable. Who knows. The recession hit is very hard emotionally and everything. i think it has taken a sense of security we once had, so I hope never to repeat this part of life in some ways. We have been very blessed in other ways though. I cannot think of one negative thing about the boys and se we have been blessed with friends and family to help us.w have learned patience and what is really important. i guess some people have to learn the hard way, that must be us.

Landon starts 3rd grade tomorrow. I am toying with the idea of doing homeschool and letting him go to Bacon for half day or some of the classes. We'll see how it goes. I would like to try it eventually but might need to be a little bit more settled in our own place. Anyway he is excited Taylor is doing preschool with me this year and one day at a place. He is happy also.

I'm still dental assisting one day a week and then teaching piano a little bit. The boys are playing soccer and Karen called to see if I could sub a little for a beginning Ballet class- so there yo go. Life is going fast but that is alright. I'm just glad I have my health and can do these things.. . .that's life for now

We planned on going to see fireworks this year for the 4th. Instead we took an afternoon bike ride. Great right???

We love doing that as a family especially since Phil works so mucha nd we don't have much time. Anyway, The boys wanted to go to the park and we rode down the hill. NO big deal. Sky is clear.

We leave Fossil Creek park and a few drops are coming, but we are thinking we can beat the rain.

WRONG!!!!!!

Then Phil's bike chain broke! That was just the beginning of our problems.

The rain started and it poured. We took shelter under a tree. NOt thinking we could have asked someone to let us in their home. DUHHHHH

BUt I guess when the rain is coming you just look for a tunnel to hide in or something. We are not professionals. LOL

We went back in the rain to the park and took shelter in the bathroom.

Grandpa was wondering where we were and saw us as he was driving around. It was a miracle he spotted us in the rain. The kids were hysterical, wet, cold and terrified.

It was more like a flood. What a day. Anyway, we got home, took baths and got into bed,

I got together with a couple of old friends from Colorado Springs on Saturday Aryn and Gretchen. It was fun to see them and it made me realize how slow and yet how FAST time is going and everything. My childhood was filled with great memories of school church etc. Lots of great people crossed my path and it is fun to see some of those people later on and see how they have change for the better. I hope I have also. Lot's to be grateful for

Yeah, the year has ended. It has been a great year.Landon has loved every minue and so has Taylor. Preschool done and 2nd grade Adios babe! Anyway the weather has been deadly hot and we went swimming did everything I could think of and we have only had 2 days.. We went on a bike ride down the Spring Creek trail. Gorgeous. I have never been down it all the way. The boys had a BLAST also and it was great exercise.

Cloe, our cat got smashed by the garage door accidentally a couple of days ago. We rushed her to the Vet and amazingly she was ok. We thought we lost her and the boys were beside themselves. I know- she is only a CAT and everything. But, she is part of our family and we have had her for 5 years. We got her in Vegas and she is really Landon's cat. Our neighbor found her and we watched her a couple of days. Phil is allergic to cats so I thought NO WAY is he going to let us keep her, but he isn't allergic to her. Hm m m m m suspicious I know.
Anyway, it was quite an adventure that turned out alright.

This was the first time the boys had been to California and saw the Beach. IT was COLD but beautiful. Phil and I had a blast. We stayed in a posh hotel and swam every night. The boys got to go on almost every ride and the lines were not long. Only sad we had to come home. Taylor still asks if he could go to Disneyland every week!

It's Sunday night again. Another week has gone by. NOt a lot has changed but in a way things are moving fast. ere are a couple of updates about us in a nutshell.

Landon- almost done with 2nd grade. He is playing soccer now and LOVES it. Everyday he asks when the next game is and what time. He scored a goal for his team on Saturday and is in heaven. I''m just glad he is exercising and moving. He is the type of kids that needs to exercise everyday.

Taylor- Almost finished with Pixie Preschool. It has been a coop preschool with some other friends this year. He LOVES it/ He is also doing a little class called Music Makers through the ward. Every friday some moms get together and do a sortive music class for the kids. They learn about different topics. He is really gaining his personality and everything. He loves Landon and they actualyl play great together.

We bought a little skateboard ramp so that has been the latest fun the boys have had riding scooters up and down it and everything. Now they still want a trampoline and bball hoop- that may be next.

Phil- Spring is here. He is starting to get in the groove with everything. Excited for some changes. Working out- trying to stay on our diet- grrrr getting his knee fixed- finally it has been over 1 year.

Tara- Doing the mom thing and trying to keep the sanity. I feel like time just won't stop and I would like it to so I can enjoy it a little bit. I'm also trying to eat better and get things wokring right. My srthritis is always a struggle but no biggy. I'm enjoying my church job as lusic chorister and helping my parents out at their office once a week.

We have had the opportunity to get to know my family really well these last few years since we came back to CO. I've learned a lot of things. Sometimes I feel like a totally different person just having new experiences.

Where has the time gone?

Spring Break came and went. We took the boys to Disneyland. They loved it. Taylor has been asking to go back almost every weekend. They loved all the rides- of course and the swimming outside.

The Star Wars show Disneyland puts on is really cool and the boys were the perfect age. I think Landon was jsut so shocked that we were actually there. We got their pic taken with some of the characters and went on as many rides as we could do.

We have been trying to get there for 5 years. In Vegas Landon was just so young and so now was the perfect time to go. We got to see the Beach. AHAHAHAHA yes it is gorgeous but cold. i wish my pics did it justice.

Nice to get away. We say we would love to live in Caly, but the truth is, it is just as great to visit.

We came back through Vegas for one night and got to see the cousins. Darren and Delane. We also got to see Sheridan and Philip and Lloyd and Leslie. It was bitter/sweet. I wasn't able to see anybody else because of flights and everything. That trip will have to wait. It was a little hard to go back because we almost wanted to just pick up and move back and we could.

I wouldn't be surprised if one day we picked up and moved back when the recession is over and the economy is better.

Lexus called us back and wanted Phil to come back. Yes, it was a compliment to him. He looked at a couple of other options. Tough to get out of the business, so we are just going to see where it takes us. Yeah! Sorry to see him go back to work but happy for him at the same time. He is selling and enjoying the cars.

It is the nicest dealership he has ever worked and yes it is GORGEOUS. It makes me want to buy another Lexus. maybe someday.

So My Birthday was last week and yes, I turned 36!!! WOW! No big deal. I went to lunch with some sweet friends, thank you Cindy and Lockey the girls from Music makers. Phil got me some new running shoes and the Jillian Micheals fat burner[ which I have been wanting for a while. My mother in law sent a sweet card and a gift along with my parents. So the day came and went and a couple days later I remembered a luncheon that I was supossed to go to for our neighborhood. My visiting teachers Monica and Shanna from church had invited me and it was a Saturday morning. No biggy.

I rushed from teaching piano and thought I would stop by for a little while. Surprise the party was for me and they had invited a ll my closest friends from church. IT was so sweet. Monica is an incredible cook and decorator and had put together this fantastic brunch and Shanna made a great chocolate cake. how did she know it as my favorite. Anyway it was so sweet. Thanks Mary, Lockey, Karrie, Susan and mom for coming. I shed a small tear that day. grateful for good friends and a sweet B DAY. I won't ever forget their kindness towards me.. I

Landon got Baptized. It was a special day. February 6, 2010 here in Fort Collins. He was so excited to have his friends and family here. WE invited a lot of people close to us and Landon. Thanks to all who came !!!
WE wish Grandma and Grandpa ( Granny and Pops)from Canada could have come but the weather was too bad. But Great Grandma Quida came and Landon was thrilled. He was a little nervous but did fine and we have a big party with lots of cake, and friends here at eh house afterward.

I shed a small, happy tear knowing he had crossed this milestone in this life and he is so excited to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of the primary kids and Hayden and Celine sang Baptism tha song. Anyway it was a special day for everyone.

Getting ready in their whites. One funny thing was that Landon forgot his change of underwear after the baptism. We laid it out but somehow it never got packed. We waited a long time for him to come back and get confirmed, Phil had to convince him to just put his pants on and wait till we got home. SOmeday it will be a funny story to remember.

My baby is turning 8 next week. He isn't a baby anymore. he is strong, full of energy and loves sports. games and anythings that has action. He loves food and is a good friend. He is my friend. My friend for 8 years. I am so proud of him and excited for this new step in his life. Life is an intereting thing. It passes so fast and yet there are times you want it to pass faster. I have to say these last 8 years have gone really fast. Landon was born here in Fort Collins. We couldn't think of a name and he was nameless for 3 days. he came 6 weeks early and then stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks. I was a new mom and it was a little overwhelming. We lived in Laporte at the time. I used to take him for a walk everyday and come into town to visit Grandma. He loved the outside and was an easy baby by most standards. Phil worked at Ace hardware at the time/ He was so proud of his baby. Anwya , lots has changes. Landon is in 2nd grade now and we are back in Fort Collins. I always wanted him to grow up here. I used to dream about it in our Vegas house. He loves it right now. Cub scouts and sports are going to fill his days and his friends and buddy Taylor. He is a little nerous but excited. I'm happy share these moments with him because before you know it they will be gone

This sunday Taylor went into Sunbeam class in Primary. i have to admit I shed a little tear but he is so dang cute and of course he would not go into his class, he stayed with mommy helping teach the kids music. Landon turns 8 next month and will get baptized. This is going to be a great year for us, I can tell. Anyway, my goals are working on a few things spiritually and physically this year. I hope I can do them. OH and trying not be be too busy, maybe I will pick and choose a little better.

Friends and Family,
We never did get all our cards out this year but I wanted to send out something for everyone. Here is a little bit about our year and some pictures.
Phil started the year working at a Ford dealership here in Fort COllins and now has been with Lexus of Frederick(close to Denver for almost 5 months. He likes selling upscale cars and it is fun to go to work everyday. He is working with the scouts at church and has become an avid LOST (TV) watcher. WE are excited for the final season.
Tara is a housewife and loves teaching piano and musical theater one day a week. I have started taking Bodyflow and my body loves it and has needed it. I've been working on my health and keeping busy with the boys. It has been a year of discovery.I've made some great friends.

Landon (7) lost his 2 front teeth right before Christmas. He loves sports and played bball and baseball this last year. His latest venture is turning the kitchen ito a hockey rink and playing with his brother. He is getting lots of game cube time and loves 2nd grade.

Taylor(3) is our baby- not so little anymore. He has a stuffed animal named bear who is a dog but he takes him with him everywhere he goes. He is Landon's side kick and loves to be outside. He is in a coop preschool one a week and He is so cute right now and goes to Sunbeams soon at church.

Mostly we are very grateful for the help we have received these last few years and hope to give back as much as we have been given during our time of need. May this year bring peace, prosperity and happiness! We love Fort Collins and are happy to be by friends and family. Below are a few pics of the family and our extended family. Enjoy! This week I can finally relax. Landon has been in the play Secret Garden and all last week was rehearsal. He also danced one night with his calss. I was amazed. he has come sooo far. I would like to have my children appreciate the arts and sports. I hope they will. It is so nice to be able to do things like that.

We had our Smith Music piano recital the weekend before. The kids played great. We went to the church and used the Organ and Piano, My friend Karrie played her violin- thank you Karrie. It was beautiful.

I am directing a musical theatre class performance this week at an elementary school T'was the night before Christmas. It will be really cute. I had to recruit Landon to be Santa. He wants milk and cookies- LOL

Taylor has had preschool Christmas parties and music makers this month is filled with Christmas singing.

The primary children sing Sunday. They are doing the First Noel. They make me cry with their voices when I hear them

To top it all off I am playing Halleluah- handel's Messiah for our churhc sing a long christmas program this sunday. And yes it is the Original version. i hope Handel doesn't turn over in his grave when he hears me butcher it LOL - I hope I can pull it off. I have been practicing a couple of months and I still don't have it nailed. Only a miracle will help me these next 4 days. it is gorgeous though.

this sounds like a ton of music and it is. WOW. I have been busy, BUt all in good fun.

How do these people compose. I am not one of them. I can play and read music but I wish I had that talent.

My new favorite composer is Paul Cardall. He is a pianist and is amazing. You can hear his music if you look. Anyway, Christmas is upon us. reading my schedule is giving me ADD so I better stop,
I can't wait till we go see lights. I have taken the kids to see Santa and everything and we have been reading a Jesus story everyday up till the 25th.

I hope we can visit a few old friends during the holidays. I am excited to go to Falt Irons wiht Cindy this weekend. I need some away time and to shop. I have to admit I LOVE shopping. Yes I could do ti everyday all day

We took him to It's great to be 8 fireside or meeting the other night. they talked about being baptized and joining cub schouts. he is SOOOOO excited. i am so proud of him.

Tis the Seaon

I was trying to think of something exciting to say but just don't have much going on. Actually this season is going by way too fast and i hope we can actually enjoy it. We are snowied in today. lt is kinf of fun but BRRR cold.

I was thinking about christmas and how really it is so simple. CElelbrating Christ's birth. Where have we gone? Looking outside we will see presents. gifts, Santa, celebration. shows, sales, shopping, parties food, food, more food. Anything extra is added for these 4 weeks and really it could be so simple.

I suppose that is the nature of the beast we are going to try and be simple this year. Hopefully I can share my testimony with a friend of christ and my beliefs or something more along that nature

We have learned lots of hard lessons this year. Im not sure i want to share them in our christmas letter but I think we have grown stronger and realized what is important.

I remembr good friends and old friends and memories during this season. Wishing them well wherever they are. SOrtive feeling bad for not keeping in touch and resolving to do better in 2010.

Trying to be better and change some things this next year. LEssons learned and respect for people born. Loving life and trying to relax.

The boys had Cody, Kai and Hayden and Celine over to sled Halloween weekend. They had a blast. Phil was supervising LOL I got 3 sleds last summer from the FLickengers in our ward.. They are fellow Candians who wre giving away their sleds. We especially enjoy the snowball maker. What a steal for $.50 the boys play with it non stop

Before Halloween is a thing of the past I need to update a little. We got hit with a major snow storm a few days before. LOL schools were closed and we pulled out our snow gear for a few days. The boys had a blast sledding in the oval. But thankfully the snow melted and we got to go to trunk or treat, the school carnival and trick or treating. Landon was so tired he only went up one street and came home. The cousins came up this year and that was fun. What a wild weekend. I dressed up like a gypsy. Taylor went as Diego andw e dyed his hair. Landon was a ninja. scary. Phil was working as a carsalesman. LOL He missed the while thing, maybe next year will be different. Anyway, here are some pics. Things turned out and it was a memorable day.

The library isn't free

It's free you think as you pile the books on to your lap and the kids get videos and anything they can get their hands on.
Yes take as many as you want but bring them back. Absolutely free. So after you have checked out 20 books and taken them home the rat race begins.
Suddenly 2 weeks has passed and you can't find all the books, so you renew them and hope to find them. anywhere? where are they? under the bed, out in the car .
Surely there is a room filled with stuff you have lost al waiting to be found. you'll find them you will get a gold star. . . . And then the date passes.
Time is up no luck no books to be found what to do.
You must pay up.$25 for a bok. I can buy it through Amazon for less but no we have fees here and there and before you know it you are paying for many books.
Grrrrr you say, never again will I do it but the lure of the library is to much and once again you find yourself enticed by the simple statement
It' free. What a tangled web we weave. Can I just not lose the library book!!!!!!!

We took Taylor's Preschool Class Pixie Preschool to the farm. Rohan, Taylor and Preston had a ball. After feeding the chickens, picking out a pumpkin and playing on the hay the hayride from the Farmer was the icing on the cake. Here are some cute pics of these boys. It was really fun.

TOday I went to see and old friend who is having a hard time because of some choices he has made. It really hit me, I am glad for the problems I have and I wouldn't change for her. My problems seems small compared to the mess she had created and I am glad for the choices i have made, not always perfect but trying. TOday we came to Heather' house. Taylor loves loves loves his cousin Hayden. They are about a year and a half apart and play pretty well. The baby Skyler is so cute. I mess Heather I wish she hadn't moved but I guess an hour isn't toobad right! Anyway, it has been fun to get together. Heather is the best cook and my best friend. I'm so glad we have had some time with the kids.

We went to visit Treeline FArm home Cardston, AB. Yes the bos had a blast and it was great to see Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days. I think September is one of the best months to visit. Horse rides, walks, trampolines, Grandma's cookin and hanging with Grandpa. Theboys didn't want to come home.

I love halloween and I am so excited for it this year. When you see those ladies that have their homes decked out with trinkets and witches and pumpkins and banana bread in the oven and costumes galour- yep that's me. Landon and Taylor are going as the spiderman's venom and red this year. I'm not sure about my costume. They are also going as a NINJA and Diego. So we will have fun. Now if I can get Phil to dress up that would be the icing on the cake LOL.

This fall I joined a Thomas Jefferson school curriculum book club thanks to some dear friends. Now don't get too excited I am not homeschooling yet but it will be coming in the future LOL . I am not a reader like I used to be. I used to read every second as a young teenager and then life happend. So timidly and reluctantly I committed to going once a week and discussing books knowing that I may or may not have time to read them, regardless I have and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has turned into a highlight of my week and I am once again learning and thinking. I do have a brain!
I'm also doing a few things I love this fall including teaching a theatre and modern dance class. Yeah! Finally I can put my creations on bodies and see how they go together. Ok I could dance all day if I were able to but anyway I am having fun with this and it is helping me get back the dancer body I once had. . . .

Christian, Phil and I wanted to go 4 wheeling with the boys this summer so we went up past Red Feather fora day. It was hot and dry but fun. Landon got to ride his own 4 wheeler and then held on to Pig's back over the bumps. I rode with Taylor and Phil, OK I am not a dare devil and I am a terrible passenger, but it was gorgeous and quite. I'm glad we got to go !

Landon Played Baseball this year out at WINDSOR. It was great for him, lots of practices, he was the most improved player for the FIREBOLTS.

WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO

Ok I looked at our blog and I am so far behind. Landon has grown over the summer. He isn't a baby anymoreSchool starts in 2 days. Landon will be in 2nd grade and Taylor is doing a co-op preschool- he is almost 3 and wanted to go to school like older brother. I figure one day a week is more like a play date right!!!! So I was wondering where did our summer go. I'm a littel sad to see the days pass. We've had lots of water, friends and fun. We joined Elitches in denver so the kids have been going down there a lot. They like al the ride and everything. Also they have been hanging out with their Uncle CHristian a lot and Aint Erika. I guess it is fun to enjoy family while they are around. LAndon is a giant and is wearing size 12 pants. Taylor is wearing 3T even though he is 2. Anyway I'll try and post some pics as soon as I find the chord to my computer LOL!!!!!!!!!

Ok here are a few things we have been up to!!!

We went camping up the Poudre river. This is our 2nd trip. The boys loved it!

We have been riding our bikes. Taylor likes to ride also so we ahve been going on the trails around town. FUN!

WE've been down to Denver a lot this summer- hate the traffic but it is always worth it afterward.

Phil has been working hard at Mazda Spradely Barr Ford. He has a set day off and mornings free- YEAH!!!!!

Call me crazy but

2 is my favorite age. Both my boys have been so cute at this age.. I know they throw tantrums and scream and hit and can bite, but when they are sweet they are so sweet. I guess it is that age right before they grow up and move on so it is so fun to capture every moment.

Taylor is finally going to Nursery. he wouldn't go for about 6 months. He came into the 8 year old class with Phil and I. I'm sad we don't teach them anymore. Now he goes because grandma is his teacher and Grandpa comes in to help. otherwise forget it.

Taylor is the sweetest right now. maybe because he is my 2nd child and I can see it more.

Here are the funny things he does so I don't forget

1- He snuggles up by Landon. Wait he is learning how to hit also and won't stop

2- He always has something in his pocket. He goes to church and shows the people behind the row what he has. It is so cute

3- He insists on wearing a tie. Landon wore a tie and it became a weapon in nursery. the leaders asked me if he could please not wear a tie. So Taylor loves ties. He has to be just like dad.

4- Taylor likes to wear SHOES. He picks them out at the store, he wears everyone elses shoes, He knows where they are if we have lost one. IT is so Funny. He will be that guy with a billion pairs. He gets that from his dad also.

5- He is very obedient. Sometimes I think he is older than 2.

6- He likes to jump on the bed right now, hates baths, loves cars, computers and riding his bike and scooter.

he can also get on a skateboard and balance- pretty impressive.

7- He is not a great eater. picky. he does love chicken dinosaurs and split pea soup- LOL

he likes apple sauce- we call it yellow ice cream- so maybe he will think it is ice cream- LOL

8- He likes to watch Little Einsteins. loves MUSIC

9- Mostly he jus alikes to play with his brother and be included. isn't that what everyone wants.

10-His favorite people are his uncle Christian and his grandpa Dunn.

Yesterday I had a little treat.

It doesn't come very often.

grandma and Grandpa went to Denver an offered to take my baby Taylor who really isn't my baby anymore because he is 2. Phil was at work, Landon had field day. He said it is his favorite day of the year

So I took the day off.

Literally.

I did every thing by myself. Went to the store, shopped at Macys, ran some errands, even got on the computer without being interruptted.

AHAHAHAHAH. It was nice to breather again

But wait,

suddendly I wondered how my boys were and started to miss them

How lucky I am to stay home with them and see them grow up everyday.

Life is full on of unexpected delights. I'm just glad I can see one of them right now!!!!

Scriture Super Heros

So i was thinking latelty that kids love super heroes. My boys especially. Batman and Spiderman have a regular place at the dinner table and we are always talking about saving the planet and fighting for rights. So I though we should have some more fun with scripture super heroes. there is Alma the younger, Samuel the lamanite, Moroni, John the Baptist, Moses, Daniel- etc. So I've been looking for some pics and things to teach them about real heroes. Who are our heros. I guess heroes are people that touch our lives in an extraordinary way. Who have hard challenges and overcome obstacles we could not face. I was thinking who my heroes are. Here are some names of heroes in my life. .

1- My parents- overcoming great obstacles and having faith to move forward
2- Marylou Sorenson- a brave cancer fighter and mother. she is comeone I look up to and wish her strenth.
3- My sisters and brother- they have their own challenges and rise above
4- My piano instructor at Ricks- for letting me see outside the bos and being a hero or music
5- My friend Cindy- who I admire because of her determination and patience
6- My mother in law- her patience and kindness toward others
7- My husband- he is my hero of endurance.
8-Gordon B. Hinkley- a man of great wisdom and stature in the gospel
9-My friend Susan- her positive atttitude
10- GOd- for all the blessing I have

Landon came home the other day and after I asked him a million times to do some things I took away his games priviledge away- which by the way he only plays a little bit, I don't believe in letting your kid be glued to the tv, and he he said" You are the meanest mom."

I said' I guess i am " and anyway it has been kind of funny when he says it. I'm glad to see there are other moms out there that hear the same thing. Because I am not the meanest mom, everyone knows who that is

It's snowing and we went skateboarding

The boys love Fossil Creek park. It has a great skatepark and a great hill for sledding. We got a huge snowfall. The first day we made snowmen and the 2nd day the boys wanted to wear shorts and go skateboarding. So we did and here are the pics. Of course we were only there for about 10 minutes because it was freezing. Go figure

Landon's school play " Chicken l Little" was this past month. He was Ducky Lucky. It was pretty cute to see 16 first graders do their play. We made the costume ourselves. He was really excited. Taylor came home saying " The Sky is Falling" over and over again.

Vegas BABY

I Miss Vegas Today. . . . We moved from Vegas back to Fort Collins 2 years ago. It took me almost 2 years to like it when we moved there in 2004. I kept waiting for the weather to change. It went from hot to hotter and the winters were cold. The wind is freezing there just like Colorado. Then we started to like the weather and expected it to be hot. . . . I couldn't understand when I first moved there why everyone wasn't in the pool when it was 113 degress- duh. . I was the one who needed a lesson about the weather. We loved church there. We had a great ward Treeline. We met come wonderful people and friends I will always cherish. The strip and everything was a great adventure. Phil loved his job and made some great friends. We took it all in. We loved the temple and lived only 5 minutes away. Anyway, when the economy took a dive we decided to come back by family. The boys were growing, car sales were not going well. We left as quick as we came, but will always love the memories. And I wouldn't say we would never move back . Life has a way of taking you places you never knew you would go. And when people complain about the heat here I just smile- they have no idea. But when it is snowing in April in Colorado I will always remember that by then in Vegas my makeup was running because it was so hot. VIVA Las Vegas! I think I need a trip!

The Joy of being a Piano Teacher

One of my favorite past times I have to say if teaching piano and seeing students get the music. It is an ah ha moment for me when something clicks and they are on their way to creating beautiful music. Of course things change but I think I will always love to do this as my favorite past time.
